Update: WBC counter-protest video released & Kickstarter campaign benefiting Nashville flood victims announced

our humble heroes have released exclusive video footage of the heroic battle that occurred between AFMF and the Westboro Baptist Church
this past Sunday, May 23. While Jazz is clearly the victor in this battle between good and evil, the true winners
are the citizens of Nashville who banded together to defy these sick, sick people. we’re all proud.



in other news, our heroes have announced that they intend to finance the production of a 7” vinyl record using the new Kickstarter platform.
the website allows you to pledge any amount you’d like towards the project and receive a variety of different rewards in exchange for your support.

for example, pledge $10 and you get the record. pledge $1500 and you can star in the next Armed Forces video, & lots more cool stuff.

Just Announced: The Armed Forces vs. Westboro Baptist Church, new single 5/21

The fabulous Armed Forces have announced a tour in defiance of notorious hategroup Westboro Baptist Church, who will be
picketing several Nashville-area church this Sunday, May 23. At each of the WBC’s three stops, The Armed Forces will
appear to perform their hit song, “Radical Luv” and others in hopes of drowning out the hate speech.

An afterparty will commence at legendary “hip local music club” Mercy Lounge from 11:30-2.

This announcement comes just prior to the release of the band’s new single “Vultures (You Never Shut Up)”, available 5/21.

Information on tonite’s benefit show.

We are so excited about tonight’s benefit. When we started planning this on Sunday night, we had no idea that our community would come together in such an awesome way to support each other.
Our primary goal in putting this event together was to raise as much money as possible for the wonderful organizations who are helping us rebuild the city. Because the response has been so overwhelming and because we want to make sure that everyone who is able to donate is also able to attend, we have made the decision to allow people to donate in advance.
At 3:00 PM today, people who would like to do this can do so right here. All who donate in advance, will receive guaranteed admission to the event. 100% of all donations will still go to Hands on Nashville and to The Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee. We will still have numerous other donation opportunities at the event, including a silent auction, to which numerous local businesses have already contributed.
Those who do not make advance donations will still be able to attend the event, and there will be no cover charge — though we strongly encourage donations from everyone. We do, however, want to emphasize that Mercy Lounge only holds 500 people. Because of that, if we do have 500 people make advance donations, we will not be able to let anyone else in until others leave, which we will do on a one-in, one-out basis.
Anyone who simply wants to donate but would not necessarily attend, can do so right here for Hands on Nashville. and right her for The Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee.
We want to thank everyone for their support and to strongly encourage everyone to donate in advance.
